Repairs Team Coordinator (Gas)
We are seeking a highly motivated Repairs Team Coordinator (Gas) to join the Repairs & Maintenance team in Wakefield. This role involves supervising and coordinating a team of technicians and subcontractors delivering repairs, maintenance, voids, and in-house investment works primarily across domestic dwellings. Experience with gas systems and knowledge of sustainable heating sources, such as heat pumps, would be useful.
You will be responsible for ensuring works are completed to high-quality standards, in line with health and safety regulations, and within set timescales. You will monitor performance, support staff development, and contribute to service improvements and new ways of working. A strong commitment to delivering a customer-focused, efficient, and right-first-time service is essential. Reporting to the Property Manager, you will play a vital role in driving service excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements
* A full manual UK driving license
* NVQ Level 3 or a comparable qualification in the applicable gas field
* Proven experience in effectively managing a team of gas technicians
* Experience of managing to ensure business targets are met
Responsibilities
* Daily supervision of lead technician, technicians and subcontractors under their management
* Control overhead expenditure directly connected with labour, plant and materials with an emphasis on value for money
* Coordinate the out-of-hours emergency rota for technicians
* Be included in the emergency on-call rota (one week every eight weeks)
* Advise Property Managers on occasions where sub-contractor labour is required; supervise work and approve payments
* Arrange quotations from sub-contractors for specialist works and coordinate with planners regarding placing works orders
* Ensure variations between works ordered and those carried out are recorded on the work order
* Monitor workmanship to ensure work of satisfactory quality
* Deal with complaints promptly and professionally
* Achieve targets related to the performance of the Repair and Maintenance section
* Manage staff to complete maintenance tasks to the agreed “one” standard, including performance indicators and service standards; provide training and development for technicians in renewable technologies
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM Regulations, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
* Deliver capital works to strict time scales, achieving cost targets, quality standards and customer satisfaction
We are looking for someone who has
