Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and storing cattle and sheep in accordance with animal welfare best practice guidelines.
Responsibilities
The Role
* Unloading and transferring animals to holding pens prior to slaughter;
* Reading ear tags and allocating kill numbers;
* Checking permits and carrying out FCI and transport audits;
* Ensuring permits and information are correctly entered into the system;
* Assisting with the daily cleaning schedule in Lairage;
* Maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations.
Qualifications
The Person
* Possess GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent);
* Previous experience in cattle and sheep handling is essential;
* Knowledge of animal welfare best practices;
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
* IT Skills essential

This position operates on a Monday to Friday day shift basis.
