(Qualified Support Worker salary is based on the proven existing completion of a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent)
Specific Hours: 20:00pm - 8:00am (12-hour shifts)

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the physical, emotional, and social development of the children and young people in our homes. Your responsibilities will include:
* Staying awake and alert throughout the night shift
* Ensuring each child's safety and wellbeing
* Providing empathy and support when young people need reassurance
* Supporting personalized bedtime routines and occasional activities
* Accurately recording information using our computer systems
* Following the Philomena protocol when reporting a missing child
* Communicating effectively with out-of-hours services and handling calls professionally
* Acting as a positive role model and adhering to Area Camden policies
* Contributing to the home's values and adapting to the changing needs of the children

* Ability to work as part of a team, bringing energy and enthusiasm
* Experience and knowledge of safeguarding children
* Capability to follow delegated tasks and record detailed handovers
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to engage with and listen to children, taking action when needed
* Organizational skills to plan and prepare work effectively
* Willingness to work towards a relevant qualification if not already held
* A commitment to undertake a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
