What You’ll Do
As an Area Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive new business opportunities and foster existing client relationships within your dedicated geographical area. You will:
* Proactively seek out new sales opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing customers.
* Conduct site visits and client meetings, providing technical solutions.
* Manage sales enquiries, quotations, and orders, ensuring that customer needs are met.
* Collaborate with internal teams, such as project and technical staff, to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
* Participate in design and pre-sale meetings, while performing site surveys to understand project requirements.
* Travel regularly to meet with clients, and on occasion, participate in international training or meetings.
What You’ll Need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
* Proven experience in sales within the construction or logistics industries, ideally with a focus on industrial or warehousing solutions.
* A network of relationships with contractors, developers, and architects, leveraging a strong network within the construction and industrial sectors.
* A competitive, entrepreneurial mindset with the resilience to handle long sales cycles and project-based work.
* Strong technical aptitude to understand product applications and tailor solutions, although in-depth engineering expertise is not required.
* Familiarity with CRM systems to manage client interactions and sales pipelines.
