* Salary: £44,075 - £48,226 per annum, Band 8
* Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week
* Contract: Permanent

We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Regulatory Compliance Team as a Housing Dispute Resolution Manager.


Your role

As the successful candidate you will lead and manage the strategic and operational response to housing disrepair complaints, HHSRS (Health and Housing Safety Rating System) hazards, and condition-related disputes, with a particular focus on damp and mould.

Your role will be to ensure timely, legally compliant resolution of complaints and disrepair cases, in line with housing legislation, the Housing Ombudsman’s Complaint Handling Code, and new legal requirements such as Awaab’s Law.


What you will need

You will have experience of managing staff, teams or multidisciplinary working groups in a social housing setting and have depth knowledge of disrepair law, HHRSR, and related housing condition standards; requiring experience responding to or managing legal disrepair claims and complaints within a social housing setting.
