Summary As the Early Careers Lead, you'll play a crucial role in defining and delivering our future thinking NCC Early Careers programmes and developing activities that support those programmes. This involves working with business stakeholders to identify requirements then creating and delivering high-quality recruitment and assessment programs, onboarding and ongoing support and development for early careers in line with industry best practice. Your role will also include building and managing partnerships with external stakeholders and organisations to represent NCC interests in the national Early Careers skills development agenda. Specifically, you'll focus on: Development and implementation of a future thinking Early Careers strategy which supports NCC Strategic Delivery Plan. Lead on the successful definition and delivery of Early Careers development activities (including Graduates, Engineering Doctorates, Apprentices, Interns, year in industry students and STEM) Build and manage partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and other organisations. To lead successful identification and delivery of professional and personal development solutions. Early Careers recruitment: Collaborate with NCC Recruitment team to ensure suitable recruitment campaigns and assessment centres are delivered throughout the year. Learning Design: Manage, design and deliver learning and development programmes using a range of materials (classroom, eLearning and workbooks). Act as first point of contact and safeguarding officer. So, what are we looking for? Experience of recruiting, developing, managing, training, and providing welfare support to Early Careers Programmes. Knowledge of best practice in Graduate, Apprenticeship, STEM and other early careers. Experience in design and delivery of management and behavioural and technical training (e.g., Management, Presentation skills, Communications) using face to face, virtual and eLearning delivery approaches. Desirable: Generalist HR experience or an interest to learn would be beneficial. Experience of Learning Management Systems would be desirable but not essential. We use Cornerstone. In terms of personal qualities, we look for excellent communication, planning and organisation skills with the ability to work with complexity and manage multiple projects independently.
