Job Title : CNC Miller : Setter / Operator (3:5 Axis) Location : Leicester Rate of Pay : GBP 22.98 per hour (incl. shift allowance) Shift Type : Permanent Nights (Mon:Thurs, 18:00:06:00) Work on precision:critical components where microns matter. The Role Set and operate 3, 4 and 5:axis CNC milling machines to produce high:precision components Interpret and optimise CNC programs, tooling setups, and offsets to ensure consistent quality output Take ownership of machine setup, datum setting, and process control Maintain tight tolerances using a range of inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, CMM, shadow graphs) Work collaboratively to maximise machine utilisation and throughput on a structured production plan Support Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) to ensure reliability and uptime Deliver against production targets without compromising quality standards About You Essential: Proven experience setting and operating multi:axis CNC milling machines (3:5 axis) Background in aerospace, precision engineering, or high:spec manufacturing environments Strong understanding of CNC programming logic, offsets, tooling, and setup parameters Ability to confidently use inspection and measurement equipment Track record of working to tight tolerances and production deadlines Desirable: Apprentice trained or equivalent hands:on engineering background Experience with CAD/CAM systems or program editing Familiarity with lean manufacturing or TPM principles The Opportunity This is not a standard setter/operator role.
