We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our historical Shoreditch establishment, The Light Bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management, with a proven track record in team leadership and operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the highest standards of service and food safety are maintained, while also fostering a positive work environment for all staff.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all aspects of the bar and restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
* Working with the directors to create a highly attended entertainment program.
* Supervise and support team members across various departments, including the kitchen, bartending, and front-of-house, to provide excellent, memorable customer service.
* Collaborate with the head chef on seasonal menu delivery with a focus on seasonal, local, and sustainable produce.
* Develop training programs for staff to enhance their skills in hospitality and customer service.
* Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
* Collaborate with department heads to create effective strategies for improving service delivery and operational efficiency.
Experience
* Proven experience in a General Managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in pubs and restaurants, with at least 5 years as a General Manager.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
* Experience in bartending or kitchen management is advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
