Overview
Corporate Psychology and Psychotherapy are recruiting for 3 Assistant Psychologists. There are 3 permanent 1.0 WTE posts available. The role offers valuable career development experience and is suitable for candidates who aspire to future training in clinical psychology and other psychological therapy professions.

Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate:
* Research experience including data and statistical analysis.
* Experience that supports working in mental health services and with the diverse communities who use the Trust's services (may have been gained through work, research, volunteering and/or lived experience).
* Demonstrable understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Interview process

About the team
The post holder will be based within Corporate Psychology and Psychotherapy. This team has oversight of projects relating to the psychological workforce and staff support and wellbeing.
The Staff Support Team provides responsive support to teams following a critical incident and oversees the provision of reflective spaces across the Trust. The service works to the Trust's quality priorities in relation to increasing staff satisfaction, improving workplace wellbeing, trauma-informed care and violence reduction.
Psychological Workforce projects focus on career development, increasing diversity and continued professional development of our psychology and psychotherapy workforce across the career span (pre-qualified and qualified).
Responsibilities
Depending on the allocated project, the post holder may be responsible for:
* Supporting the organisation, co-ordination and delivery of wellbeing, staff support and/or workforce development initiatives across the Trust.
* Liaising with a variety of staff across the organisation from frontline clinicians, non-clinical staff to the board of directors.
* Supporting the organisation and co-ordination of professional development and supervision provided by the Corporate P&P teams for staff groups across the Trust (e.g. staff support community of practice members and P&P colleagues).
* Assisting with the co-ordination and delivery of training across the organisation to support the delivery of staff support and workforce development initiatives (e.g. training and recruitment of new facilitators to our community of practice for our key initiatives).
* Collecting and analysing data (quantitative and qualitative) for the purpose of evaluating the diverse range of Corporate P&P initiatives (with the possibility of leading to publication).
* Conducting literature reviews and horizon scanning of new initiatives, theories and the evidence base relevant to wellbeing in the workplace, staff support and workforce development.
* Contributing towards service and quality improvement work within the team, department and organisation.
* Supporting the delivery of a cohesive communication strategy for P&P workforce within the Trust, such as the monthly psychological workforce newsletter and staff induction packs.
* Monitoring and screening referrals for staff support initiatives (e.g., Critical Incident Staff Support) and, with support and under supervision, assessing and triaging incident and support requests which come into the service.
* Where appropriate and with adequate training, some roles are likely to include involvement in the delivery of staff support initiatives (e.g., co-facilitating Critical Incident Staff Support sessions).
* Supporting the P&P workforce development leads with relevant projects that aim to develop and diversify the psychological workforce. This includes projects that focus on recruitment and retention, career pathways and progression, CPD and training, and increasing and supporting diversity and inclusion within the workforce.
The post offers a valuable opportunity to enhance leadership and reflective practice competencies and gain a wide knowledge of large mental health organisations through working with very senior and experienced nurses, clinical psychologists and other Trust colleagues.
