Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the UKI Finance team for a Lead Business Analyst. The primary focus will be to support the UK in activities across all Service Lines, working closely with Senior Leadership. The role involves providing high-quality financial and management information, developing new reports, and systematizing existing assets in collaboration with stakeholders. The individual will oversee a team of Data Analysts, identify bottlenecks, and find creative solutions, while also upskilling the team for future roles. Presenting analysis to end users and highlighting variances and actions are key responsibilities.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of financial analysis, including processing and checking, and be capable of partnering with the wider finance team. Flexibility and adaptability are essential due to ongoing changes in the firm's processes and systems as part of a Global Finance Transformation Programme.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Head of R&A to set priorities and actions.
* Maintain relationships within the wider Finance team to understand infrastructure changes and their impact on reporting.
* Manage projects across Finance and Service lines, ensuring data consistency.
* Lead team meetings and foster collaboration.
* Organize and manage Data Analysts, balancing workloads and deadlines.
* Oversee the GDS Team to ensure high standards in reporting.
* Assist in training and upskilling team members.
* Identify opportunities to leverage new tools for efficiency.
* Deliver ad-hoc management reports under tight deadlines.
* Lead by example and support new initiatives and systems.
* Enhance the profile of the UKI R&A Team within the business.
* Continuously develop professional skills.
* Develop and maintain reports and documentation.
* Ensure data quality and accuracy across platforms.
* Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing, managing resources and progress.
Requirements
* Strong background in financial analysis, preferably within Professional Services, with project management experience as a Data or Financial Analyst.
* Collaborative mindset with experience working across Finance and Service Lines.
* Initiative-driven problem-solving skills.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Client-focused with a strong understanding of service concepts.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Flexible and adaptable approach to change.
* Experience in managing, motivating, and training teams.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data tools.
* Knowledge of MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and T-SQL querying.
* Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, HTML, VBA.
* Understanding of relational databases and data visualization tools like PowerBI.
Desirable Skills
* Familiarity with Alteryx.
* Knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub.
* Knowledge of Python Machine Learning and Forecasting.
