About Us
Stephen Webster Plastics is a well-established UK distributor of plastic sheet materials, supplying customers nationwide. We're a commercially focused, service-driven business with a strong reputation for reliability and straight-talking.
We're now looking to add a proactive Internal Sales Executive to our team to help drive new business and grow customer relationships from within the office.
The Role
This is a proactive internal sales role, focused on new business development and opportunity creation, supported by an experienced sales and operations team.
You'll be expected to pick up the phone, start conversations, and build momentum — this is not a purely reactive, order-processing role.
Key responsibilities:
* Proactively contacting new and existing customers by phone
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities
* Building and managing a sales pipeline
* Preparing and following up quotations
* Working closely with external sales, warehouse, and management
* Accurately recording activity and opportunities in our CRM
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
* Is comfortable with outbound calling and starting conversations
* Enjoys proactive sales rather than purely reactive service
* Is resilient, persistent, and self-motivated
* Can manage their own workload and priorities
* Is commercially aware and results-focused
* Works well as part of a small, close-knit team
Previous B2B sales experience is beneficial but not essential — attitude and mindset are key. Full product training will be provided.
