Oatlands Park Hotel is seeking an experienced Conference and Banqueting Supervisor to join our Conference and Banqueting team.

You will be expected to:
Reporting to the Conference and Banqueting Manager, as Conference and Banqueting Supervisor, you assist in ensuring the day-to-day events and meetings are carried out in line with the departmental and hotel standards providing a high level of customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure guest needs and expectations are met or exceeded by the C&B team
Ensure high levels of hygiene control and health and safety are maintained
Take responsibility for serving food and beverage for private dining, meeting and events and the set up and organisation of the room
Supervise team members ensuring they are following company uniform standards
Assist in training team members and onboarding new joiners
To maintain accurate control of department equipment and inventory of all stock and supplies
To communicate clearly and concisely with other departments
To update, monitor, adapt and enforce standard operating procedures with the agreement of the C&B Manager
To supervise, review and appraise team members performance on a regular basis
Responsible for setting up events as per the requirements of the function sheet
Ensure all function rooms are cleared and are set up and ready for the next event
You are responsible for replenishing items and the cleanliness of all meeting rooms
Communicate event requirements to the team and ensure all members of the team are clear as to what is expected
Skills and Requirements:
Be able to demonstrate best practice to subordinates and lead by example
Be immaculately presented with outstanding communication skills and have a keen eye for detail
Have the ability to work without the input of the C&B Manager
It is essential that you are a driver or live within walking distance of the hotel
At least one years experience in a similar role withing a four star hotel and to have a thorough knowledge of Conference and Banqueting operations
Have the ability to supervise a team members fairly and efficiently
Have a can do attitude and a passion for customer service
Have a high level of fitness as you will be expected to assist in setting up rooms
Qualifications:
Hospitality qualification or working towards would be desirable
