Outline of role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our growing Building Services team. This is a hands-on role involving installation, maintenance, testing and inspection works across a range of retail, commercial and fit-out environments nationwide.
The successful candidate will be flexible, dependable and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship while working to project deadlines in fast-paced environments. Travel across the UK and working away from home will be required.
Main responsibilities
* Carry out electrical installation works in commercial and retail premises in line with current regulations and company standards
* Perform inspection, testing and fault-finding on electrical systems and installations
* Complete maintenance and reactive repair work as required
* Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams
* Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with the latest regulations
* Work collaboratively with site managers, subcontractors and other trades on-site
* Complete all relevant certification and documentation accurately
* Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles in good condition
* Support project delivery through overtime, weekend and night working where required
* Represent the company professionally when working on client sites nationwide
Knowledge and skills required
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical installation, testing and fault diagnosis
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Strong work ethic with a results-driven attitude
* High level of drive, energy and commitment to quality standards
* Good communication and relationship-building skills
* Reliable, punctual and organised approach to work
* Strong team player with a positive attitude
* Flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements
Qualifications
* Relevant electrotechnical qualifications in Electrical Installation
* 18th Edition Requirements for Electrical Installations
* City & Guilds 2391-10 or 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent)
* Completed recognised electrical apprenticeship
* CSCS card preferred
* Full UK driving licence xsngvjr preferred
