An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Sports Programme Co-ordinator to join the Oldham School Sport Partnership team. The role aims to promote a vision of 'offering all young people the chance to live a happy, healthy, and active life'. The post is based at Co-operative Academy Failsworth, part of the Co-operative Academy Trust, and is a fixed-term, five-day-a-week position (term time plus 10 days) until August 2026, with extensions subject to funding.
The main responsibilities include planning and delivering sports competitions and events across Oldham schools and the community, supporting school games interventions, and delivering bikeability balance sessions. The post involves working closely with the Partnership Manager and collaborating with external partners to enhance PE and sports initiatives within schools.
Key duties involve supporting intra and inter-school competitions, leading girls' football programs, increasing participation in sport and physical activity, developing young leaders, supporting OSSP programs, and providing administrative support such as website updates and managing electronic systems.
