Trial Balance Consulting has been invited to assist a long-standing client, a well-established Cornish business seeking to recruit an experienced Finance Officer on a permanent basis. The company offers consumer services and has experienced significant growth in recent years. With a well-considered business model, the company is expanding beyond Cornwall and is on a strong upward trajectory.
This role is within a friendly and experienced finance team. The successful candidate will focus on ensuring the accounts receivable function operates effectively and efficiently. The core responsibilities include:
1. Managing all aspects of accounts receivable, including raising sales ledger invoices and documentation
2. Credit control
3. Administration of banking and cash transactions and reconciliations
4. Applying third-party income through funding
5. Assisting the Finance Director and Management Accountant with ad-hoc projects
6. Providing support to the purchase ledger team as needed
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant with over 12 months of general finance experience, either part or fully AAT qualified or qualified by experience. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and a methodical approach. The company adopts a modern and forward-thinking attitude towards technology, and experience with Sage, MS Excel, and MS Office products is essential.
