Emergency Medical Technician - Ambulatory Care QE2

We are recruiting for an Emergency Medical Technician - Ambulatory Care QE2 who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,258 and a maximum payment of £2,121 per annum pro rata.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will accurately record baseline observations such as respiratory rate, oxygen saturations, blood pressure, heart rate, conscious level, and temperature.
They will also be able to demonstrate effective basic life support skills incorporating the Automated External Defibrillator.
The role will include carrying out Blood Glucose Monitoring and having the basic awareness and knowledge in knowing when to escalate any concerns.
The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of the ECG machine, know the correct position of all 12 leads, and how to record an ECG.
