BAM Ritchies are currently looking to recruit a Construction Materials Technician to join our laboratory team on the HS2 project based in Banbury. The role requires a candidate with extensive experience in materials related testing ranging from Concrete, Soils, Aggregates and Asphalt.
Your mission
As a Construction Materials Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
* Carrying out sampling and testing in line with Standards and customers specification
* Carry out a point of work risk assessment
* Checking that equipment to be used is in calibration and if broken or damaged this is reported to line manager immediately
* Entering and completing on appropriate sheets all records, readings and results that arise from the procedure being carried out
* Communicate clear instructions to site teams based on a thorough understanding of Client specification and expectations
* Provide clear and concise data to demonstrate compliance
* Carry out testing using equipment checked for calibration to demonstrate compliance
* Deliver daily/weekly work programmes with site teams
* Provide advice to others
* Training other staff in sampling and test procedures
* Maintain detailed site diary
* Maintain personal CPD record and CV to demonstrate career development
Who are we looking for?
The following are mandatory requirements:
* NVQ Level 2 Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities
* CSCS Card
* Comprehensive range of experience demonstrated by CPD record and CV

* First Aid at Work
* Technical Member IOM³/ICE
* Technical Seminars and Workshops
