Business Development Manager (Freight Forwarding) – Sutton Coldfield. Up to £45,000 + excellent benefits. Our client, a leading global logistics provider with a reputation for exceptional service, is looking for a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to drive new business, build long-term partnerships, and contribute to the company\'s continued success.
What you\'ll do
* Proactively identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in freight forwarding.
* Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to handover, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
* Build strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
* Respond to inbound enquiries and create tailored quotations.
* Arrange and lead productive client meetings to understand and deliver their logistical needs.
* Drive marketing initiatives across social media platforms to generate interest and leads.
* Consistently meet and exceed sales and GP targets.
What we\'re looking for
* Proven success in Business Development within the freight forwarding industry (2-3 years\' experience minimum).
* Strong background in Air / Road / Sea operations.
* A track record of exceeding monthly GP targets.
* Confident, persuasive communicator and skilled negotiator.
* Self-motivated, driven, and resilient—able to thrive under pressure and work independently.
* Excellent organisational, administrative, and customer service skills.
