Legal Counsel – Engineering & Technology Consultancy
London | Hybrid (2 days remote) | 3+ PQE (flex here)
Salary: £65,000 to £80,000
An international leader in engineering and technology consultancy is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their UK legal team. Operating across multiple sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Energy, Life Sciences, and Financial Services, this organisation partners with clients globally to deliver cutting-edge solutions and innovation.
The Role
As part of the UK Legal team, you will provide expert legal guidance across a range of business activities. This is a hands-on role involving contract negotiation, governance, compliance, and strategic advisory, working closely with senior management and Group functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with UK law and company policies.
* Legal Risk & Advisory: Advise stakeholders on legal risks, governance issues, and regulatory compliance.
* Corporate Governance: Support governance and corporate secretarial matters, including delegations of authority and record-keeping.
* Compliance & Insurance: Assist with the implementation of compliance programs, insurance management, and risk frameworks.
* HR & Employment: Provide legal guidance on employment law, IR35, PSC issues, and immigration queries.
* M&A Support: Contribute to due diligence and integration for acquisitions.
1. What We’re Looking For
* UK-qualified lawyer with 3+ years PQE.
* Solid experience in commercial contracts, risk management, and public sector frameworks (Crown Commercial Services).
* Knowledge of IR35, PSCs, and IT contractor marketplace.
* Previous experience in consulting, technology, or engineering sectors is highly desirable.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
