A modern and forward-thinking property and construction consultancy are seeking a Clerk of Works to join their team. Established over 30 years ago, they work for a broad range of clients across the private and public sectors, providing a full suite of property and construction consultancy solutions.

Role & Responsibilities for the Clerk of Works:
* Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
* Ensure the work is carried out to the highest standard by reviewing materials, workmanship, and construction processes, and verifying compliance with the project documentation.
* Ensure that all works are in compliance with local building regulations, planning permission, and other statutory requirements.
* Produce detailed reports on the progress of work, identify any discrepancies, defects, or non-compliance issues, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
* Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve site issues and ensure smooth workflow and adherence to schedules.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-compliance issues, remedial actions, and correspondence related to construction activities.
* Monitor site safety, ensuring that all activities are performed in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
* Identify and resolve issues related to design, construction, or quality in a timely manner.
* Maintain communication with clients, providing updates on project progress and any potential concerns related to construction quality or delays.
Skills & Experience of the Clerk of Works:
* HNC/HND in Construction, Building Studies, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
* Strong understanding of building regulations, planning processes, construction techniques, and quality control procedures.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, construction management software
