About The Role
As a Driver Trainee Installer, you will be supported through our trainee programme to become a fully qualified John Lewis Customer Delivery Installer with a C1 driving licence. Once you're fully trained, you'll have the opportunity to bring our distinctive John Lewis service directly to our customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, large electrical appliances, sound systems, and TV sets as part of a 2-person delivery crew. Due to the nature of the role, you need to be 18 years or older.

Driver Trainee to Technician, Key Responsibilities:
* Being an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
* Assist in loading your vehicle with daily deliveries, collaborating with the warehouse team.
* Respect and courteously handle customers' homes and resolve unexpected situations effectively.
* Install various products including wall-mount TVs, integrated appliances, and hard-wired installations, demonstrating their operation post-installation.
* Stay updated with new products and technologies to perform your role effectively.
* Maintain a safe working environment.
Upon completing the 90-day trainee programme and meeting all criteria, your salary will increase to £34,353 annually. The duration of the programme may vary based on individual progress.
This role involves heavy lifting, including delivering large items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds, and mattresses.
Essential Skills/Experience Needed:
* UK B-Category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Previous customer-facing experience.
* Excellent verbal communication skills both over the phone and face-to-face.
* Interest in technology and installation.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
* Previous experience in installation and customer delivery services.
