Interaction Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of an established UK engineering and manufacturing business specialising in innovative material handling and conveyor solutions supplied across UK and international markets.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Internal Sales Executive to join a growing sales team and work closely with the UK & Export Sales Manager. This is a desk-based role focused on outbound sales activity, customer engagement, and pipeline development across both new and existing customers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth by generating opportunities, managing enquiries, and supporting the wider external sales function.
The Role
The Internal Sales Executive will be responsible for proactively generating new sales opportunities, managing existing customer interactions, and supporting the full sales pipeline from initial contact through to quotation and conversion.
This is a fast-paced, commercially focused role requiring strong communication skills, organisation, and a proactive approach to outbound sales activity.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate sales through outbound calls and follow-ups
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
Identify new business opportunities and support wider sales development activity
Manage incoming enquiries and convert them into sales opportunities
Prepare and follow up quotations in a timely manner
Maintain accurate CRM records and manage pipeline activity effectively
Develop strong product knowledge and communicate technical information clearly
Support the external sales team with lead generation and account activity

Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role (internal sales experience desirable)
Confident communicator with a strong telephone presence
Comfortable working in a high-volume outbound sales environment
Ability to quickly learn and explain technical products in a clear and simple way
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated with a proactive and positive approach
