1. Role: Support Worker
2. Pay Rate: £12.90 Per Hour
3. Shifts: Days and Nights
4. Full-time - 42 hours per week
5. Location: Kidsgrove, Staffordshire
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults to:
6. Engage in meaningful activities that reflect their interests, goals, and aspirations
7. Build confidence and skills to live as independently as possible
8. Access and participate in their local communities, including education, employment, volunteering, and social opportunities
9. Develop and maintain positive relationships with family, friends, and professionals
10. Make informed choices and have their voice heard in all aspects of their lives
You will provide person-centred support that promotes dignity, respect, and choice, adapting your approach to meet each individual’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
11. Support individuals with daily living skills, encouraging independence at every opportunity
12. Facilitate community-based activities and meaningful occupation, tailored to individual outcomes
13. Promote emotional wellbeing and positive mental health
14. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
15. Maintain accurate records and contribute to person-centred support planning
16. Support individuals to manage risks safely while maintaining choice and autonomy
