Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Structures Team as a Senior CAD Technician! We are looking for a passionate individual with reinforced concrete detailing experience to contribute to the delivery of high-quality technical drawings and models across a range of infrastructure projects. You will be based in our fantastic Edinburgh office, whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. You will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of water-retaining and other civil structures across the UK, supporting major clients including Wessex Water, Scottish Water and the Northern Lighthouse Board. _Here's what you'll do:_ Interpret engineering sketches and specifications to produce accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings and models. Deliver outputs in line with project timelines and budgetary constraints. Apply a sound understanding of structural components to ensure clarity and constructability in drawings. Undertake reinforced concrete (RC) detailing with precision and consistency. Support the development of junior team members, including apprentices, by providing guidance and quality oversight. Collaborate effectively with engineers and fellow technicians to ensure coordinated and efficient project delivery. Grow with us. Qualifications Ready to push the limits of what's possible? _Here's what we're looking for:_ Experience and proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) with a strong portfolio of structural drafting work. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Solid understanding of structural detailing and construction principles. Experience in RC detailing and familiarity with relevant standards. Familiarity with BIM software, such as Revit or Civil 3D would be beneficial; but training will be provided where required.
