Teacher of Science – Experienced Specialist (Full Time) Location: Basingstoke | Contract: Permanent | Phase: Secondary (KS3–KS4) | Start: ASAP Inspire curiosity. Spark discovery. Build confident scientists. Teaching Personnel are partnering with a successful secondary school in Basingstoke to appoint a full‑time Teacher of Science (Specialist). We’re seeking an experienced practitioner with excellent behaviour management, strong subject expertise (Biology, Chemistry or Physics), and a track record of raising attainment across KS3–KS4. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, knowledge‑rich Science lessons across KS3–KS4, using your specialism to deepen understanding. Plan adaptive sequences and practicals that stretch and support learners of all abilities. Track progress with purposeful assessment; implement targeted interventions to accelerate outcomes. Establish calm, purposeful classrooms underpinned by consistent behaviour routines. Contribute to curriculum design, assessment strategy and shared planning. Support STEM enrichment (clubs, competitions, trips) and whole‑school initiatives. About You QTS (or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in Biology / Chemistry / Physics and general Science at KS3–KS4. Proven behaviour management ; able to build positive relationships and sustain high expectations. Evidence of raising attainment and closing gaps through effective teaching, feedback and intervention. Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and professional development.
