The Role
As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Advisor, you will help drive our goals by:
* Acting as the lead specialist in hazard communication and regulatory affairs to ensure the regulatory requirements of Catalyst Technologies are delivered in line with business needs and to assure continued business license to operate.
* Create, maintain and update specialist regulatory hazard communication information (safety data sheets and product labels) to ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements.
* Provide regulatory support to technical, commercial, and manufacturing functions to ensure the timely and compliant introduction of New Products, thus enable sustainable business growth.
* Provide regulatory support to technical, commercial, and manufacturing functions to ensure timely and compliant updates to existing products, thus maintaining supply.
* Support the corporate legal compliance function with product information to enable correct assignment of HS tariff codes for existing and new products.
* Review and interpret regulatory information from registration dossiers/Chemical Safety Reports, and ensure relevant data is entered into the JM safety data sheet system and communicated via SDS.
* Review US product manufacturing and import data to collate, advise and/or and submit notifications to ensure compliance with US TSCA Regulations.
Key skills and Qualifications
* Master's and/or bachelor's degree qualification in one or more of these disciplines: toxicology, chemistry, environmental sciences, biomedical sciences, biological chemistry or a related subject
* Relevant experience (5+ years) in a regulatory affairs and/or product safety function, gained in a chemical, metal and pharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent background, e.g. regulatory agency or contract research organisation.
* Expert knowledge and proficiency in chemical hazard communication systems (e.g. classification and labelling, safety datasheets, etc.).
* Experience of other product safety regulations (e.g. poison centres, food contact, medical devices, biocides, RoHS etc.)
* Knowledge / experience of global chemicals control regimes (e.g. EU-REACH, TSCA, Asia-Pacific equivalents), and associated IT systems.
