A vacancy has arisen for a Civils Site Manager with Water Industry experience to join our team. The Civils Site Manager is responsible for overseeing civil projects within the water network infrastructure, regionally and nationally.
The role encompasses:
1. Leading site teams, including subcontractors, to ensure efficient, safe project execution.
2. Providing technical guidance on civil engineering tasks.
3. Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
4. Ensuring work meets industry standards, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions.
5. Pre-start preparations including RAMS, contracts, and program setup.
6. Coordinating plant and resource needs with the Project Manager.
7. Ensuring compliance with key contract areas.
8. Overseeing daily site operations and completing necessary documentation.
9. Ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
10. Maintaining communication with stakeholders to address early warnings.
11. Upholding safety and quality standards throughout.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Experience in Civils Site Management within water/utilities sectors.
* Certifications: CSCS Managers Card (level 6+), SMSTS, CPCS Lift Supervision, EUSR Blue Card, full UK driving license.
* Knowledge of CDM2015 regulations.
* IOSH or NEBOSH health & safety certification.
* Proficiency in NEC 3 and 4 contracts, understanding of BoQ.
* IT skills: Microsoft Office suite.
* Strong customer service focus.
* Soft skills: influencing, organization, problem-solving, leadership, teamwork.
* Personality traits: assertive, confident, friendly, adaptable, safety-conscious, tolerant, punctual, flexible.
