A leading, independent soft drinks manufacturer operating a multi-format site (glass, PET, cans and cartons). The business has a strong sustainability focus and modern production, QA and office facilities. Customers include major retailers, schools and independent outlets.
The Role
We’re seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator to support the QA Manager and, after full training, provide cover where required. You’ll help uphold product quality and food safety standards across a high-volume operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate and respond to customer complaints within defined timeframes.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date quality records (inspection results, trackers, databases, systems).
* Assist with developing and maintaining SOPs for quality control and food safety.
* Monitor compliance with standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO, BRC/BRCGS).
* Support training for production/operations teams on quality, food safety and new procedures.
* Contribute to root cause analysis for quality incidents and non-conformities.
* Help implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and process-efficiency projects.
About You
* Experience: 3+ years in a QA role within FMCG food & drink (essential).
* Audit: Qualified Internal Auditor with practical auditing experience.
* HACCP: Level 2/3 with active involvement in a HACCP team.
* Food Safety: Level 3 Food Safety.
* Standards: Working knowledge of BRCGS (essential).
* Skills: Clear communication (written & verbal), strong administration, excellent IT (Microsoft Office), attention to detail, and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
