Chef Manager - Hoddesdon Care Home Hours: 37 per week (including weekends on a rota, with alternate weekends off)
MCG Recruitment are proud to be supporting our client in finding a Chef Manager to lead the kitchen at their welcoming Hoddesdon Care Home, where everything centres around the residents.
As well as providing a comfortable and friendly setting, the kitchen is truly the heart of the home — and we're looking for someone who can bring warmth, skill, and leadership to the team.

Main Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold meals for residents.
* Cater for special dietary requirements where necessary.
* Ensure all Health & Safety and food hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen and dining areas.
* Work with the Home Manager to plan balanced, nutritious menus using fresh ingredients.
* Manage weekly stock ordering and control.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures within defined timescales.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and well maintained daily.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
Person Specification
* Previous experience working in a catering environment (care sector experience desirable).
* Food Hygiene Certificate and/or City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) - essential.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Applicants must be over 18 years of age.
* Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced disclosure (DBS).
