Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a well-respected secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time position will commence after Easter to provide cover for a long-term absence. The school is highly regarded for its inclusive ethos and commitment to providing students with a broad and enriching education.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students to explore and understand diverse faiths, cultures, and ethical perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons that align with the national curriculum.
* Teach Religious Studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring lessons are engaging and accessible to all students.
* Encourage critical thinking and meaningful discussion on topics such as moral issues, philosophy, and world religions.
* Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement targeted strategies to support individual learning needs.
* Develop creative learning resources to cater to a variety of learning styles.
* Foster a positive learning environment that promotes respect, tolerance, and inclusion.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Humanities Department and contribute to the wider school community through participation in meetings and extracurricular activities.
* Uphold the school's behaviour policies and promote positive attitudes towards learning.
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver lessons that engage and inspire.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and respect within the classroom.
* Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
