Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Urology Team at Withybush General Hospital. Applications are invited from efficient and suitably qualified individuals for the post of a full time Band 3 Clinical Secretary within the Urology Team based at Withybush General Hospital on a permanent basis. Working 37.5 hours per week, the successful candidate will be required to support the delivery of a comprehensive and quality secretarial service to the Consultants and their teams.
Responsibilities
* Receipt and distribution of mail, audio transcription, and the typing of highly sensitive letters and reports, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
* Operation of the Health Board’s patient database system.
* Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and be flexible and adaptable in approach to work.
* Work on initiative, use tact and diplomacy where appropriate, and possess excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
* Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and E-Mail.
* Proven secretarial skills (including audio typing).
* Previous experience of medical terminology is essential.
