Responsibilities
Role Overview
This is a 6 month Fixted Term contract working within the Marketing Department as an Events Coordinator supporting global marketing and communication activities with a focus on exhibition and event co-ordination. The Events Coordinator will help with event management, taking ownership of a number of global exhibitions, assist in developing and measuring customer and distributor engagement programs and have key involvement in both below the line and e-marketing initiatives.
This position will require working out of the Rapiscan Salfords office and will require travel to trade shows and events as and when required. You must be able to travel to the EMEA regions without any restrictions.
1. Global Events organisation assistance: Pre event organisation including pre-event invitations, advertising, and management of event on CRM.Venue coordinationCoordination and management of stand sales staffStand concept, build up and break down:Running and attendance of eventPost event organisation including recording and distribution of sales leads
2. Develop lead and customer nurturing programs using Rapiscan CRM system.
3. Management of marketing collateral and give-aways
4. Management of distributors contacts database
5. Support in the creation of marketing communications.
6. Support in the management of online Sales and Marketing tools.
7. Create questionnaires and surveys and provide post event or activity analysis.
8. Sales and distributor support as required including assisting sales with customer site visits and demonstrations.
9. Assist in development and management of Product Marketing Literature ensuring up to date information is available.
10. Working with various suppliers and record PO’s and invoices.
11. Sales force and distributor support on a daily basis as required.
12. Ad hoc projects as requested
Qualifications
13. Methodical and well organised, good at juggling tasks and prioritising
14. Show initiative and creativity and have the desire to learn and develop.
15. Be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
16. Excellent oral and written communication skills
17. Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines.
18. Flexible in hours as this will not always be a 9-5 role (due to providing global support)
19. Able and willing to travel Internationally often alone - must be a able to travel to EMEA regions without restrictions.
20. Be proficient in Microsoft Office Programmes such as, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics and Word.
21. Knowledge of InDesign would be useful but not essential.
22. Marketing Qualification or previous study - desirable not essential
23. Organisation of events/trade shows - essential
