We’re looking for a proactive Accounts Payable to join our clients' small, close-knit team and support their finance operations.
Location: South Derbyshire
Hours: hours per week (flexible working available)
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role:
This is a varied and hands-on finance role, ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and thrives in a supportive team environment. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of finance and administrative tasks supporting both UK and European operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Posting supplier invoices to finance and operating systems
2. Reconciling uploads between systems and resolving supplier invoice disputes
3. Performing monthly statement reconciliations and daily posting of direct debits
4. Managing manual payment runs in GBP and foreign currencies
5. Weekly payment processing for European operations and liaising with external accountants
6. Monthly cash forecasting and resolving internal cost discrepancies
7. Monthly sales reconciliation, intepany reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
8. Providing general administrative support to the finance team
What We’re Looking For:
9. A confident, positive, and detail-oriented individual
10. Strong Excel skills and experience working with foreign exchange (FX)
11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, supportive team
12. Experience working with various currencies
13. UK-based experience in accounts payable/ purchase ledger
