Overview Of Role
The successful candidate will ensure the safe, effective, and efficient operation of production lines, from raw materials to finished products, working with colleagues and managers to meet production targets while maintaining health, safety, quality, and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proactively promote health and safety, adhering to H&S policies, contributing to improvements, and reporting unsafe conditions.
2. Complete all quality assurance and health & safety checks, including pre-start checks and documentation such as CCPs.
3. Maintain hygiene standards and GMP compliance on the production line.
4. Manage process and quality parameters as trained, and identify issues affecting efficiency, escalating as necessary.
5. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield and OEE.
6. Ensure timely supply of materials and accurate documentation of line KPIs.
7. Minimize downtime, manage changeovers efficiently, and ensure production targets are met.
8. Properly issue and de-kitt items used in production, and correctly receipted finished goods pallets.
9. Reduce waste and ensure compliance with weights and measures legislation.
10. Conduct effective shift handovers for seamless transition between shifts.
The Right Person
* Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of Critical Control Points (preferred).
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Attention to detail and proactive, results-driven attitude.
* Knowledge of stock control processes.
* Basic food hygiene knowledge (Level 2 Food Safety preferred).
* Manual Handling experience (preferred).
* GCSE level Maths & English.
* Health & Safety qualification (preferred).
