Role Description
The Health and Safety Compliance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Reading Area. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures to maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, managing audits, delivering training sessions, investigating incidents, and fostering a culture of health and safety awareness throughout the organization. The position works collaboratively with staff, students, and external agencies to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
* Proficient in conducting risk assessments, audits, and policy reviews to identify and mitigate health and safety hazards.
* Knowledgeable in implementing and monitoring compliance standards and protocols in line with legal and regulatory guidelines.
* Effective skills in training design and delivery to promote safety awareness among staff and stakeholders.
* Ability to investigate incidents thoroughly and recommend preventive measures.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams, including staff and external agencies.
* Relevant certifications in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH or IOSH) are preferred.
* Experience within educational or special needs settings is highly desirable.
* Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to ensuring operational safety and compliance.
