Barista Coffee Job - Key Responsibilities
* Maintain strong working relationships with all colleagues to ensure an efficient and positive team environment
* Prepare high-quality coffee and hot drinks consistently to Pret standards, ensuring customer satisfaction every time.
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of coffee production, equipment, and shop procedures as outlined in our Barista training plan.
* Contribute to the smooth running of the delivery, kitchen, and coffee operations by supporting your teammates.
Customer Service Excellence in Coffee Shops
* Welcome and serve customers quickly and politely, engaging in a friendly, professional manner at all times.
* Follow the 6 Key Points of Service and take the time to respond to customers' needs, delivering a memorable coffee shop experience.
* Support queue management and deliver products to customers in accordance with Pret presentation standards.
* Wear a clean, immaculate uniform for every shift to maintain Pret's standards of professionalism and shop presentation.
Prepare Delicious Drinks – Coffee Barista Standards
* Follow the 6 Key Points of Production, ensuring every drink meets Pret's high standards for quality and taste.
* Use, clean, and maintain all coffee machines and barista equipment with care and according to training.
* Monitor and rotate stock, ensuring ingredients are always fresh and available.
Shop Cleanliness, Health & Safety in Barista Role
* Uphold all aspects of kitchen and coffee counter cleanliness, following Pret's hygiene and food safety procedures at all times.
* Promptly notify the manager of any safety or cleanliness concerns.
* Complete all relevant food hygiene and safety training and update certifications as required.
Productivity and Shop Profitability
* Stay up-to-date by completing all Barista and Team Member training in a timely manner.
* Comply with all financial procedures, particularly in relation to POS and till use.
* Work efficiently and maintain a consistently high standard of drink production and customer service during busy periods.
