About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a 23-bed residential care home on the outskirts of Exeter. The home provides high-quality, compassionate care for adults with learning disabilities, dementia, mental health needs, and related health conditions. The service has been rated Good in all areas by CQC—Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-Led.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager or a confident Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
* Hold and maintain CQC registration as the home's Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance with all regulations.
* Provide strong leadership, supporting staff in safeguarding, quality assurance, recruitment, retention, and professional development.
* Oversee financial performance, including budget management, resource allocation, and maintaining occupancy levels with appropriate funding.
* Ensure high standards of personalised care tailored to residents with varied and complex needs.
* Promote a culture of dignity, empowerment, and wellbeing for all residents.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with families, professionals, and local stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
* Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Leadership & Management in Adult Care (or working toward it).
* Experience in residential care, ideally within learning disabilities, dementia, or older adult care.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven track record in delivering quality and compliance.
* Sound financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and occupancy effectively.
* A collaborative, values-led approach with a genuine passion for resident wellbeing.
