We are delighted to be recruiting pharmacists to join our Clinical Pharmacy team at The Royal Marsden. This role is ideal for pharmacists interested in specialising in cancer treatments and gaining experience at a world-leading cancer centre. It is a rotational position offering exposure to various clinical cancer services, including oncology, haematology, clinical trials, private care, paediatric oncology, critical care, and surgery.
This role involves delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services across the medical day unit, outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and outpatient SACT (Systemic Anticancer Therapy) delivery. The pharmacist will work with multidisciplinary teams, including pharmacy, nursing, and medical staff, to ensure the timely delivery of SACT and improve patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing operational support to the Clinical Services Pharmacy Team across three hospital sites.
2. Offering expert advice to multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and timely medication delivery.
3. Screening and reviewing prescriptions to ensure the safe and appropriate use of SACT and other medicines.
4. Supporting the development of high-quality pharmacy services to enhance patient outcomes and experiences across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Additional responsibilities include:
* Checking the appropriateness of prescriptions across chemotherapy units, outpatient departments, and clinics.
* Promoting continuous improvement in patient experiences during day-case chemotherapy.
* Collaborating with pharmacy aseptic, dispensary, and clinical teams, as well as multidisciplinary staff, to ensure safe and effective chemotherapy services.
* Participating in unit meetings as required.
