Group Regional Health and Safety Manager role at Barons Eden - Hotel and Spa Collection. Location: Moreton-in-Marsh, UK. Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week). Travel: Required across properties, regulatory meetings, and ESG conferences.
The Role
We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Group Regional Health & Safety Manager to lead our organisation’s compliance strategy. This is a compliance-first role, with Health & Safety (HSE) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) experience as valuable complements. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations meet legal and regulatory standards, while supporting safe and sustainable practices that reflect our values and the expectations of guests, investors, and regulators.

Key Responsibilities
* Compliance Leadership — Design and maintain the Group Compliance Framework, policies, and procedures
* Stay ahead of regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation across the business
* Lead investigations into compliance breaches and coordinate with legal authorities
* Manage regulatory reporting and maintain relationships with relevant bodies
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
* Deliver compliance training and awareness programmes across departments
* Oversee internal audits and respond to third-party audit requirements
* Monitoring & Reporting — Track and report on compliance metrics, breaches, and incidents
* Prepare reports for senior leadership and the Board
* Investigate violations and oversee corrective actions
* HSE & ESG Integration — Collaborate with HSE teams to ensure safe working environments across all sites
* Monitor and improve health and safety practices in line with regulatory requirements
* Contribute to HSE audits and reporting, ensuring alignment with compliance goals
* Ensure compliance with ESOS Phase 4 and identify opportunities for energy efficiency
* Support ESG initiatives including energy use, labour practices, and supply chain sustainability
* Stakeholder Engagement — Act as liaison with regulatory authorities, auditors, HSE bodies, and ESG agencies
* Collaborate with HR, procurement, finance, sustainability, and operations teams
* Support external communications related to HSE compliance and ESG performance
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Have a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Sustainability (or related field) and/or previous experience within a similar position
* Have significant experience in compliance, legal, risk management, HSE, or ESG roles
* Have in-depth knowledge of compliance frameworks, HSE protocols, and ESG reporting
* Have excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
* High level of integrity and professionalism
* Hold a full UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle
* Hold the required Right To Work with no requirement for future sponsorship
Desirable
* Have experience in corporate sustainability, HSE management, or ESG consulting
* Be familiar with HSE and ESG data platforms and compliance management systems
* Have previous HSE experience within the hospitality sector
* Have the ability to manage multiple projects and influence stakeholders at all levels
