Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a key role within Enable, making a positive difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities.
Role
Provide personal care, moving and handling, and positive behavioural support to individuals with learning disabilities, expanding their social networks and connections.
Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care and daily living tasks.
* Support mobility and handling.
* Implement positive behavioural support.
* Cooperate with a team to ensure safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.
* Follow each individual's personal support plan to help them achieve goals.
Qualifications and Skills
* Ability to adapt communication style to develop relationships with people who are supported.
* Commitment to support individuals through their personal support plans.
* Positive, flexible attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* No prior care experience required; values and transferable skills considered.
Contract & Pay
£13.45 per hour. Sessional contracts available with flexible shift patterns.
