Zenith People are working with our client who are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Biased Shift Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.The ideal candidate will be time-served and have previous experience of working in a fully automated production environment responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
Shift pattern (Contientals) - working hours are 6:30am to 18:30pm or 18:30pm to 6:30am, working a 7-day shift pattern. The shift rotation pattern is based on a pattern of 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 nights on / 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off. The pattern provides for every other weekend off and runs over a 4 week cycle with an average of 42 hours worked per week.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance of production equipment to ensure a reliable manufacturing process.
Perform calibration validition and corrections on equipment such as load cells and temperature controllers.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery and supporting equipment. Some of the core skills/knowledge
Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens preferably) is essential to aid in the diagnosis process. Experience with AC/DC drives (primarily Siemens & ABB predominatley)
Kowledge/experience of Tension control systems
