This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Linux/HPC Engineer looking to work on complex infrastructure projects, emerging technologies, and next-generation compute platforms within a fast-paced technical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as senior escalation point for complex Linux and HPC issuesLead deployments of new infrastructure and compute platformsDeliver technical projects from planning through to implementation and handoverEvaluate and pilot new technologies and platform improvementsOptimise Linux environments for performance, scalability, and availabilitySupport automation and configuration management initiativesWork closely with global teams on upgrades and infrastructure enhancementsMaintain technical documentation, standards, and operational proceduresParticipate in on-call support rota and continuous service improvement activitiesMentor junior team members and communicate technical solutions to stakeholdersRequired Skills & Experience5+ years Linux Systems Administration experience, ideally within HPC environmentsStrong commercial experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environmentsExperience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet or GitLabContainerisation experience including Docker and orchestration technologiesScripting experience with Bash, Python or PerlStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience managing technical projects and working within ITSM environmentsDesirable SkillsKubernetes, OpenStack or CI/CD tooling experienceCloud infrastructure and virtualisation exposureKnowledge of GPUs, RAID technologies, and HPC clusteringRelevant Linux or ITIL certificationsPackageAnnual bonus schemeEnhanced pension contributionPrivate medical and dental optionsLife assurance and income protectionFlexible benefits platform and wellbeing support
