Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant – Nurturing Support in a Welcoming Barnet Primary School About the Role Teach Now is seeking a caring and proactive Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Barnet. Working closely with the class teacher, you will provide one-to-one and small group support, assist with lesson delivery, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment. The role may also involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities and achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across KS1. • Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs. • Help maintain a positive, nurturing classroom atmosphere. • Encourage children’s emotional and social development through patience and positivity. • Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays. About You • Experience supporting children in a primary school setting (KS1 preferred). • A genuine passion for education and child development. • Understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
