Our Claims team sets us apart. Our experienced Claims professionals use their specialised expertise to handle even the most complex claims seamlessly. As a Senior Claims Handler / Adjuster, you will play a critical role in the Property claims team by managing and resolving claims for our customers. You will work closely with your manager coordinating with fellow claims adjusters to bring claims to resolution, interacting and collaborating with the practice leader, underwriting team, brokers, clients, and experts on assigned accounts.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Provide oversight and direction related to coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving, and resolution of a book of product specific claims in accordance with your agreed authority and the Claims Handler Guidelines.
2. Effectively control a portfolio of claims by ensuring that communications, new claims, and notifications are dealt with in a timely manner.
3. Support Underwriting and Actuarial teams and key stakeholders in connection with claim trends, marketing, and business development.
4. Interact with and support management and all other relevant internal stakeholders to effectively support Underwriting Growth and Profitability.
5. Assist Claims Manager with implementing strategy within the Claims team.
6. Support the claims operations team to generate reports, monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure best practice, and chase up information required to progress the claim.
You will report to Claims Manager – Property.
Qualifications
1. Advanced knowledge of Property claims, including domestic and commercial property.
2. Understanding of how the Claims function operates, including the lifecycle of the claim.
3. Takes ownership and accountability for the management of assigned claims and successfully oversees the strategy to obtain the best result for both XLC and the insured.
4. Deliver prompt, fair, innovative, and accurate claims service enhancing great broker and client relationships.
5. Establish relationships and collaborate effectively across the business, leveraging those relationships in the achievement of goals and objectives.
6. Provide claim handling support/training to team members.
7. Use relevant data to gain buy-in and support in setting and implementing case strategy.
