The Opportunity
George Brooke Funeral Directors - Dewsbury are currently looking for a casual Funeral Service Operative. The hours are varied, and there is the opportunity to fit the role around your other commitments.
Calm and professional, our Funeral Operatives play a vital role in our service and are often the first members of the team to meet families. A good Funeral Service Operative will provide reassurance to families that we will take good care of their loved ones whilst preparing them for their final journey.
In addition to bringing loved ones into our care, Funeral Service Operatives work behind the scenes—working in the mortuary, fitting coffins, dressing the deceased, participating in funeral services, pallbearing, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
This role can be challenging and rewarding, with no two days quite the same.
Your duties will include driving company vehicles, so a full driving licence is required.
You will also be part of the out-of-hours and on-call rota, which offers opportunities for additional payments.
