Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise daily activities of Packing Hall Operators, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
* Coordinate work tasks, break schedules, and hygiene activities for the team.
* Perform thorough shift handovers with incoming Senior Production Operators.
* Ensure correct setup and safe, efficient operation of both processing and packing lines.
* Conduct start-up checks for processing and packing lines at the beginning of each shift or product changeover.
* Monitor and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions; escalate to Shift Engineer when necessary.
* Record all process setting changes, downtime, and product waste in the shift report.
* Ensure accurate completion of:
* Tip and end-of-line logs
* Packing film log
* Cardboard box and film usage logs
* Oversee correct coding, allocation, and recording of pallet details at the freezer end.
* Ensure timely and orderly supply of packaging materials, bulk product, and correct-sized octabins.
* Liaise with Shift QC during line gaps to ensure waste product is weighed and recorded.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all work areas.
* Ensure compliance with manual handling and risk assessment procedures.
* Promote and enforce proper segregation of product and packaging waste.
* Identify and report sub-standard product or materials to Shift Manager or Shift QC promptly.
* Conduct film, seal, and date code checks to ensure packaging quality.
* Segregate and record any sub-standard packaging materials in designated areas.
* Complete accident reports and conduct initial investigations; escalate serious incidents to senior management immediately.
* Assist in fire or ammonia evacuation procedures in coordination with the Shift Engineer.
* Complete evacuation reports as required.
* Upload, run, and close relevant Packing Orders using the WinCC & SAP System
