Job Description
In the CDL Driver role, you will be traveling to locations along an assigned route to pack, transport, and dispose of waste materials in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. The position requires accurate record‑keeping, the ability to follow instructions, and independent work once trained.
The role requires up to four overnight stays and some weekend work. A company card will be provided for hotel expenses, along with a daily stipend for food and other costs.
Job Details
* Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
* Complete required paperwork in accordance with regulations and customer policies.
* Load and secure materials/waste, and unload the truck at customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
* Prepare and load the truck with necessary supplies.
* Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily, communicating any issues to Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
* Perform a documented pre‑trip and post‑trip check on the assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
* Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g., manifests, route sheets).
* Follow routing software route schedule.
* Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
* At least 21 years old
* High School diploma or GED
* Basic English reading, writing, and speaking
* Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
* Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
* Basic knowledge of Windows‑based software (Word, Excel, etc.)
* Willing and able to wear company‑provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)
* Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
* Hazmat endorsement
* Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check
Preferred Qualifications
* Valid TWIC Card
* At least 1 year of route driving experience
* Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
