Engineering Manager
We are an employee-owned manufacturing business with a strong heritage of innovation and sustainability. The company is a leading producer of specialist coated paper and film products supplied to customers across multiple industries worldwide.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a preventative maintenance strategy to minimise downtime and optimise asset performance.
* Lead, coach and develop a multi-skilled engineering team to ensure strong performance and engagement.
* Manage engineering budgets, contractors and procurement activities to support cost-effective operations.
* Drive optimisation of the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to improve maintenance planning and asset reliability.
* Collaborate with operations teams on continuous improvement initiatives and production targets.
* Lead capital expenditure projects and planned shutdown activities through to successful completion.
* Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental and ISO standards.
About You
* Strong electrical and control systems expertise gained within a manufacturing environment.
* Minimum 35 years experience in an engineering management role in manufacturing.
* Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including PLCs and machine control systems.
* Experience managing engineering budgets, including consumable and capital expenditure.
* Proficient in CMMS administration and Microsoft Office applications.
* Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams and deliver operational improvements.
* HND or Degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
* TPM/Autonomous Maintenance experience desirable; Lean manufacturing experience advantageous.
* IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification desirable.
Salary
Approximately £60,000 per year (depending on experience).
