The Role As a Science Technician, you will be the "engine room" of the department. You will work across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, ensuring that all practical equipment and chemical solutions are prepared to a high standard for Key Stage 3 through to A-Level. Key Responsibilities: Practical Preparation: Prepare and set up apparatus, chemicals, and biological materials for classroom demonstrations and student practicals. Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment in line with CLEAPSS and Health & Safety regulations, including the correct storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals. Maintenance: Routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, such as microscopes, balances, and data loggers. Stock Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders for consumables and equipment as required to stay within budget. Classroom Support: Assist teaching staff during practical lessons, providing technical advice and ensuring students use equipment safely.
