Crest Nicholson Eastern Division have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join the team in our Brentwood office on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract basis.
The core responsibilities in this role will be to prepare accurate quantities and material schedules, competitively sourcing and co-ordinating the supply of plant and materials required for your projects.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be supervising the processes and overall contracts management, while supporting the business strategy.
You will also manage all tender documentation, pricing and trading agreements and quotations, ensuring your team deliver on time, meeting tight deadlines. Forecasting costs and estimates on a monthly basis along with regular cost reviews with the wider Build team will be essential in this role to work effectively.
As the Buyer, you will provide feedback and guidance on cost and buildability to the Technical team, working closely with other disciplines to continue product development and value engineering.

* Experienced Buyer with strong Construction experience
* Having worked in either volume housebuilding or residential contracting
* Excellent budget control and cost analysis skills
* Thrives working in a fast paced environment
* Excellent time management skills, working to tight deadlines
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and IT skills
* Strong communication skills
* Team player
* COIN’s experience would advantageous
* Relevant Construction qualifications
This role will be working from our Eastern office with travel to sites as necessary.
